Protagonistas de la Fama (Protagonists of Fame) (2003) was the first Chilean reality show and marked a milestone in the country's television landscape: it combined bull runs, competitions, and audience votes with the typical drama of a soap opera, generating a ratings and pop culture phenomenon. Although some contestants briefly achieved fame, its legacy lies in having imported the reality format to the national screen and launching characters who became part of the collective memory.
